A few years ago, when parked my car at work, 5 AM the morning, I realized that I didn’t pay any attention to my 45 min drive. Yet, somehow, I drove all the way to work, which includes multiple turns, and multiple exits. That is when I began to investigate and research the reasons for this extraordinary phenomenon. I read many articles and I began to understand the psychological process!
Several months ago, I came across “The Power of Habit” book by Charles Duhigg. In his book, Charles discusses the science of how habits are formed naturally. His studies and research confirmed what I have been realizing. It is a well-written, and easy to read book. I have read it multiple times! The book is divided into three parts: The Habits of Individuals, The Habits of Successful Organizations, and the Habits of Societies. The whole reason for habit is because it simplifies our activities. If you ever consider reading a book to understand habits or the reason for what you do, this is your go-to manual. The content is written in an engaging manner. I found the references, the studies, and real-life stories are written intriguingly.
