Q and A session with Trixie Hunter Merrill, DTM, From District 26. Trixie, you are here under certain circumstances that I, myself, would not have shown up under. But you made a choice to be here! Why? “Because I love Toastmasters. I love the Toastmaster family. We tease that we drank the Kool-Aid, and we definitely have here in District 26. And life is worth living, and if you're not living life, then what are you doing. And I love Toastmasters, and I wanted to be a part of this, no matter whether I'm fighting cancer now or not. It still is important to me, even more so, to be here because I have a motto: You have to live the life you love. And to do that, you have to just put yourself out there and do things, like you said, what you wouldn't normally do. So, you are saying that you won’t let the fear hold you back? No, I have four sayings. I call them the four pillars of fabulous. Be bold, be brave, be fearless, be fabulous. And you have to be brave to get past that fear, but you have to be fearless to just say whatever happens, happens, and just move on. ”
